Over the last twenty or so years, I've heard, and sometimes read, some very bizarre beauty advice. I thought I'd share some of the more ridiculous ones with you, Ladies.

Please! Do not attempt these practices or procedures! This article is merely for laughs!

These are NOT recommended beauty tips!

1.) To Achieve Plumper Lips: Use the suction power of the hose of your vacuum cleaner on your lips. Keep suction active for a minute or two, to achieve the look of fuller, or pouty lips.

2.) Dermabrasion Treatment: Use very fine-grade, wet sandpaper, as a face cleansing cloth, to get rid of fine lines and wrinkles.

3.) Teeth-Whitening: Brush your teeth with Comet cleanser.

4.) Makeup Remover-Facial and Body Skin Softener-Remove makeup with Crisco. Apply a thin coat of Crisco to the face and body after bathing, for softer skin.

5.) Facial Skin Softener-Apply a leather conditioning cream to your face.

6.) Facial Skin Firmer-Mix a small amount of raw egg white with your makeup foundation, and apply.

7.) Facial Skin Firmer2-Apply a liquid douche, containing alum, to your face and neck, allow to dry, to firm the skin.

8.) Facial Skin Firmer3-Dilute Elmer's Glue with water, and apply to the face. Let dry, then apply your makeup.

9.) Elmer's Glue Facial Peel-Apply a coating of the glue all over your face, allow it to dry, and peel off. (OUCH!)

10.) Skin Softener-Hair Conditioner-Use fabric softener on your face overnight, to smoothe the skin. Use it on your hair as a conditioner.

11.) Face and Body Rub-Rub your own urine all over face and body. Old urine, 4 to 8 days old,
is best for this skin rejuvenating treatment.
